We’re getting new signs! Four new South Graylyn Crest pole mounted signs are being installed in coordination with DelDOT. Please leave any temporary stakes in place while we coordinate with the state and utility companies for installation.

I have never commented on anything that the loyal South Graylyn Crest Civic Association has done in the past. I my opinion, you folks, as volunteers, have done a good job with all civic duties under your domain. Snow removal, parades, contests and various other duties have been well done, but I must take exception to the design, approval process, and installation of our new neighborhood identification signage. The new signs are the most garish, over sized, and ill positioned placards that could have ever been conceived. I feel as though I am living in Sesame Place, or Coney Island. The signs lack style, taste, proportion, and convey a feeling of trashy POP culture. I am disappointed with their installation as a potential traffic hazard. I can imagine the damage caused by one of those gigantic signs crashing down on some poor little auto.
I’m sure our neighborhood will be the talk of the town, and not in a good way.
