Proposed university campus; ,Wilmington University, Inc. has submitted an application for a Major Land Development Plan (hereinafter the “Plan”), Application No. 2014-0797-S, to the Land Use Department that proposes the construction of three buildings aggregating approximately 200,000 square feet of gross floor area on 41.17+ acres of land located in Brandywine Hundred, on the west side of U.S. Route 202 (Concord Pike), south of Naamans Rd. (hereinafter the “Project”. According to the applicant, “at full build-out, the Project will provide two hundred fifty (250) faculty and administrative jobs, serve 1,000 students, and enable Wilmington University to continue its growth aimed at providing access to higher education and job opportunities for Delawareans and the Brandywine Hundred community in particular.”
