Hello Residents of South Graylyn Crest
Drugs and violence have shown their ugly faces in our community. Sunday evening, while retuning to my home, I was passing Chatham Park and noticed police presence. After conversing with police and receiving a call from a resident of Chatham, I discovered what the occurrence was at our park. A boy was purchasing drugs off two other boys. Something went wrong with the deal and the boy purchasing the drugs was assaulted in the clubhouse of the slides in the park. Luckily, residents from Chatham who were playing tennis heard the noise and saw the dealers running away and was able to assist the boy who was buying the drugs by calling a ambulance who was later taken to A.I Dupont. All of the boys who were involved were under the age of 18.
We are asking our residents to please call 911 if you see any suspicious activity anywhere at any time.
